Data Management Planning

Many funding agencies now require data management plans or resource sharing plans as part of the grant application. As of January 18th, 2011 both the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health require a data management plan (DMP) to be included in all applications.

We’ve compiled a comprehensive set of resources to help with the preparation of these plans. Consult the funding agency guidelines page below to see if your proposal requires a data management plan.

Download the template for developing your plan and use it as a guide. Please contact the Research Computing Group if you have questions or need help in developing your plan.

The Research Computing Group provides secure data management, storage, and backup on a cost recovery basis. Contact us if you are interested in any of these services for your research project.
